How devices help with communication
Technology is beneficial in a variety of ways, it can help us simplify tasks, give us a broad selection of knowledge at our disposable, and allows us to communicate across vast distances. I believe that the latter is the most important out of all of these.
-
Computers, Ipads, and phones can be used to communicate with others through sms messaging and other ways such as apps and calls.
-
A telegraph is a device that sends messages in morse code through wires that are decoded once they reach the other end, allowing for near instantaneous communication.
-
A LAN phone allows people to communicate with you by telephone wire, this form of communication is usually reserved for homes and offices or other fixed locations.
-
One of the most important things I can think of in todays society is e-mail, which send messages to others through the internet.
-
The internet is a collection of servers and data bases that are interconnected and share information with each other, the name internet comes from interconnected and network, thus the 'internet'.
-
Wifi allows for access to the internet.
-
A radio can be used to communicate to people across the world, it can receive and broadcast messages.
-
A router is used to receive a wifi signal and then redistribute it with a limited range.
-
Ethernet is a wired version of wifi that connects to your router or wifi box.
-
A printer receives and communicates with the device it is connected to.
All these devices use some form of communication, some more obvious than others, without these devices we would be stuck in an inefficient past.
ICT stands for Information Communication Technology and shares similarities with IoT (Internet of Things) is when devices with sensors connect across the internet or other types of communication networks and exchange data.
